Saturday 7/13/2019 - 2:15pm to 3:45pm - Room: Carlson 127
Young people are often asked to “give insight” to adults about the issues they are facing. However, they are rarely given the tools to create change on our own. This session will explore how Al Exito, a community organization, conducted a mental health study and worked alongside youth to create systemic change in Iowa. We will explore research as a tool for advocacy and how students of color can use data to drive chang in their schools and community.
