Lalena Garcia and Caryn Davidson, New York City Black Lives Matter in Schools Week of Action
Friday 7/12/2019 - 1:15pm to 2:45pm - Room: Carlson 213
Come explore the 13 Principles of the Black Lives Movement for students in grades Pre-K through 12! We’ll introduce you to the principles and give you some language to discuss them with your students. Teachers of early childhood and elementary students will then discuss the use of read alouds, visual aids, and classroom conversations to develop this curriculum, while middle and high school teachers will have the opportunity to walk through an arts-based lesson plan.
