The intention of this assembly is to capture the Black Lives Matter Movement ideologies and transform it into pedagogy for the classroom and beyond. As the teaching crew for the Bay Area chapter, we want to invite our partners and other organizations interested in education reform, to collaborate on curriculum and programming that is anti-colonial, anti-racist, and challenges white supremacy. Essentially, we want to answer the question, what educational model can liberate our youth from mental chains? How can we move beyond the classroom to educate our people?
