This workshop is for those who recognize how traditional approaches to classroom management mirror and serve policing and prison, and who are eager to dream up classroom norms, routines, and structures that could instead serve the movement for prison abolition. By identifying the values, skills, and commitments required to keep each other safe and protected, we will imagine—together—how to start readying young people and ourselves for a world without prisons.
