In a society that proposes to value "objectivity" (within academia, journalism, business, etc.), the negative association that "bias" often carries can push individuals and institutions to deny these biases exist. In this workshop, Educator, Artist, and Classroom Teacher Colin Masashi Ehara will facilitate activities that identify the ways our un/acknowledged perceptions of race and culture can have a direct impact on the physical and emotional safety (or lack thereof) in our lives.
