While educational research often treats “participants” as separate entities, we find that students, pre-service, and in-service teachers navigate multiple and overlapping identities, positions, and experiences. In this panel, we combine collaborative research conducted with individuals across each of these groups. We offer a model syllabus engaging discussions of identity by drawing upon the everyday (i.e. personal narratives, popular media, and literature). Finally, audience members will create poetic, graphic, and auditory artifacts drawing on their everyday experiences.
