Classroom Struggle & the University of San Francisco
Friday, 2:15 pm - 3:45 pm -- Rm. A-140

In the past 3 years, a group of Oakland teachers called Classroom Struggle have collaborated with parents and students to stop cuts to adult education, plan anti-police brutality marches, fight school closures and push for smaller classes/caseloads. During this workshop, we will discuss strategy and reflect on each of these struggles: our small victories! and our shortcomings. Afterwards, participants will share and workshop their own struggles and successes (both in and outside of the classroom) and brainstorm essential demands/tactics to unite the teachers, parents and students around them.
