Is Science for All?: The relationship between science and racial identity

Salina Gray
Saturday, 2:15 pm to 3:45 pm -- Rm. E-207

In this workshop, participants will use the P5 Framework to plan science instruction. The P5 is an alternative model for designing and implementing interdisciplinary, rigorous and more student centered science lessons. This framework attends to both scientific content and process while disrupting traditional notions and practices of teaching and learning. Participants will leave the workshop with data on the success of this framework as well as concrete strategies and skills for transformative science teaching.
