Decolonization Isn’t A Metaphor, Burn It All Down

This session will tackle the racist politics of a teacher education program and the misrepresentation of their decolonial framework. Using our experiences as student organizers, we will discuss our approach to challenging the short-coming of this program to make national connections to the shortage of Black teachers and teachers of color. We will wrestle with the possibilities of creating radical educators in the academy, as well as, the need to create fugitive space outside of that environment.
