Saturday, 11:15 am -12:45 pm -- Maryland 242

Counter narratives allow research participants to tell their own story, confront stereotypes, and draw attention to their own identity formation process, particularly with respect to gender, race, and ethnicity. Two research sessions focus on identity as a continuous process, focusing on a boxer battling the stereotypes surrounding his sport and second-generation Dominican boys using Photovoice.
