The Fight For Equitable and Excellent Funding for MD's Public Schools is an assembly put forth by Baltimore Movement of Rank and File Educators (BMORE), a local grassroots organization campaigning for more equitable funding in public schools. This assembly will be facilitated by veteran educators in Baltimore City Public Schools. In the midst of local and national budget cuts, the purpose of this assembly is to educate attendees about the history of their local context, connect with activists across the nation who are facing similar fights, and take action to influence policy makers. Through this assembly, attendees will be given an opportunity to make informative signs to be used at future actions, send emails and messages to elected officials and leaders across the state of MD, and so on.
