Saturday 7/13/2019 - 11:15am to 12:45pm - Room: Blegan 155
This session encourages participants to imagine what youth power looks like in liberatory classroom and school spaces. Attendees participate in a restorative circle where they explore what it means to stand in one’s power. Youth from YPAR and mentorship group Code Switch: Restorative Justice for Girls of Color share ourney to self-love and power stories as a way of guiding participants to examine how to create racially-just and humanizing pathways of support, well-being, and post-secondary success for youth of color, especially Black girls.
